Application Methods
- Acrylic / PVC sheets, double side application: the basic steps are as for standard glue applications. Apply masking tape on the edges and keep the bonded substrates under pressure for 4-5 hours before cutting or finishing.
- PVC edge banding, single side application: apply glue on one edge surface of the plywood / MDF / particle board and spread it uniformly with a spreader or spatula.
- Join the PVC and apply pressure uniformly so excess glue oozes out of the joint. Remove it softly and carefully using a cloth.
- Press the edge band joint for 2-5 minutes under manual hand pressure, using masking tape to hold it firmly. Bond strength is obtained within 4-6 hours; full strength develops after 24 hours at room temperature.
- For faster work within 1 hour, wrap the edge with a thick cotton cloth, apply heat with an iron for 1 minute and repeat the steps four to five times.
