Why Paper Bags Need a Dedicated Adhesive
Paper looks easy to glue. It absorbs fast and bonds without much effort.
The trouble starts at speed. A bag machine folds, pastes and stacks within seconds, so the glue must grab before the bag leaves the line. Too much water and the paper wrinkles. Too little tack and the bottom springs open in the stack.
That is why one general gum rarely works well for all three joints. Our range splits the job by joint.

SYN 52 HV: Bottom and Side Pasting
A high viscosity grade for bottom folding and side pasting. The thicker body stays where it is applied on folded layers, which helps bottoms stay shut under load.
SB 25: Paper Bag Handle Pasting
Used for fixing twisted and flat paper handles to the bag body. The same grade is also used by tube makers as a paper tube adhesive for kraft paper winding.
